All members of the Lao community are cordially invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Lao Association in the UK. This meeting provides an important opportunity for members to come together, review the Association’s activities and progress, and contribute to discussions about its future direction and priorities.
Confirming Attendance

Meeting Details
The meeting will be held at Centre 151 (formerly The VLC), 151 Whiston Road, London E2 8GU, on Sunday 5 July 2026. The programme will commence with a communal lunch at 1:00 pm, after which the formal business of the Annual General Meeting will begin.
Agenda and Business of the Meeting
• An introduction to and opportunity to meet the current Executive Committee
• Presentation of the Association’s Financial Report
• A review of the Lao Association’s achievements and activities over the past two years
• An opportunity for members to contribute to proposals for future policies and projects
• Discussion on how the Association can continue to strengthen its support for the Lao community in the United Kingdom
• The election of a new President
Presidential Nominations
Members who wish to stand for the position of President, or who would like to nominate another member for this role, are kindly requested to submit their nomination by email to thelaoassociationuk@gmail.com no later than seven days before the date of the Annual General Meeting.
Communal Lunch
In keeping with Lao tradition and the spirit of community, all attendees are warmly encouraged to bring a dish to share as part of the communal lunch.
